Being confined to one hospital room was Keith's childhood. He wasn't allowed into the house his parents lived in until he was in 8th grade. He was allergic to anything and everything. His sense of smell and taste were sensitive to everything. So he had to wear a mask. It also didn't help that he was allergic to lots of foods. He was lactose intolerant, he couldn't have fish, gluten, or sesame. His mother kept him from everything and anything. Wanting to keep him safe. His diet consisted of fruits, vegetables, nuts, meats, and gluten free and dairy free items. Piled on top of it all, Keith suffered from anxiety.
He hated it. All of it. But he didn't know a life without any of this.
He was always left out of things. Always seen different. From the way he dressed, to the way he looked, to what he ate.
He was thin, had paler skin than most people, his eyes were an unusual shade of violet, his hair was longer, his eyes were more narrowed, and he dressed 'girly'.
And, for the cherry on top, Keith was gay. A hardcore snorting rainbows gay. And he had his eye on one kid in particular.
Lance McClain. The most popular boy in school, always flirting with everyone, male or female. And to top it all off, he didn't even know Keith existed. And they were partnered for a school project lasting the whole year.
(None of these characters belong to me! They belong to DreamWorks and the creators of the show. The only thing that's mine is the plot and story line and I apologize if it parallels with any fanfic you've read before)

"S-Stay, p-please," Keith mumbled, hiding his face in his pillow. Lance nodded climbing beside the small boy. Keith turned to face him, his face flushed as he looked at Lance, "T-Thanks." "For what?" Lance whispered, his breath close enough for Keith to touch. "B-Being by my side," Keith moved closer to Lance, closing the small distance between them, "I-I thought y-you'd all hate me." "Why would you think that?" "Ha," Keith let out a bitter laugh, "I'm half Galra. I share half of my DNA with a race who has killed countless civilizations, not to mention they kidnapped Shiro and Katie's family, and they-" "Exactly, "they". You didn't help them do any of that, right?" Lance touched Keith's forehead with his own, drinking in the feel of his soft skin. "N-No but-" "No "buts", you didn't choose to be born part Galra, and you have more than proved you're a paladin." "Allura and Coran hate me," Keith mumbled, trying to find some way to prove that they did indeed hate him. "No they don't, just give them some time to adjust," Keith turned around, pulling Lance's arm around him, "They have to get used to you. None of us hate you, not the smallest bit." Lance waited for Keith to argue but the boy had already fallen asleep. Lance hugged the boy tighter as he copied his steady breaths. After a training session gone wrong, Lance is injected with a poison which threatens to take away his memory after a week. The only way to get him back would be for someone to help him remember his life, or he'll be gone forever... Secrets are spilled, feelings are shared, and love is near. Although, to his satisfaction, he swallowed any stupid comments or sounds. Except one- "You look like a chipmunk." Lance laughed, ruffling Keith's hair before disappearing out of the door and into the hallway. "Hey!" He shouted, tripping over his own feet as he scrambled upwards. The door clicked shut softly. From either side of the door, each boy had a moment of clarity, a soft smile adorned their face. Maybe this situation isn't that horrible. And, Lance was hungry. That too. - in which keith has been exposed to a mysterious gas, forcing his galra traits to bubble to the surface. and with this comes the troubles of accepting the other half of him, even after the galra captured his people. all the while lance has to deal with the fact that keith was brought here by red, the extension of his own quintessence. he's still struggling to grasp his own life.. what does it all mean anymore? A Klance Fanfic - For Him
It was a typical Friday for Keith. Go to school. Hate school. Leave school. Maybe occasionally the Omega would be chased by a dumb group of Alphas. Lance was also having a typical Friday afternoon. Leave practice then jog through the backstreets. He never expected to meet Keith there, running from a group of Alphas. The pairs relationship was complicated, interesting, to say the least. But neither acted in feelings. No one had time for those. Especially when they were childhood friends who had a falling out. The two never even met up together unless it was school or with other people. And when they did try to have a civil conversation it would end off in stupid small bickering. But fate had other plans for them. After that Friday afternoon, nothing was ever the same with them. Their old relationship became irrelevant when it came to the new one they were building. A new one with newfound feelings that may or may not have always been there. But all good things have their bad times. And after one bad time, Lance and Keith can't seem to get a break from a certain group of Alphas. The pair take some wild steps with each other. Both with the good and the bad when it came to the future. And both the good and the bad when it came to the past. They would never be able to go back to how things were before.
