How do you let go of someone if you never got the chance to say goodbye? Home is supposedly where the heart is, but Eliza Anderson begs to differ.

---

After her partner passes, she tries to make sense of the world. Eliza writes letters to herself, mostly to pass time, but also to confront the largest fear in her life: her mother and the past she represents. She was supposed to do this with Esther, supposed to go home, supposed to ask for forgiveness and acceptance for all of the mistakes she made before she corrected the lie she had been selling as truth.

The only problem is that Esther left her alone.

From childhood, Lil's life has been a nightmare. Her mother tried drowning her in the bath as a baby. As a result, she deals with depression and anxiety. When her boyfriend breaks up with her, she decides to get behind the wheel and is tempted to text him one last thing. Imagine her horror when she smashes into another car, the driver someone very close to her. Will she end up like her mom in prison? Will she let despair and guilt drag her back into darkness or will she find hope for a future, as hard as it may be? This is a book I wrote a few years ago before I found Wattpad. I never got a lot of feedback on it, so I appreciate you even taking a look and giving a few comments. You guys are rockstars. Thanks for reading!
