What do you do when your letters can form life? Or for better terms, demons? How do you handle your own thought coming after your small town? Possibly doing your bidding? Simone Heavens has always been dark minded, even with a name meant to bring peace. Grim reapers and headless town folk still roam around in the childhood drawings layered on the fridge. Filled journals filled with the thoughts of the small fragile girl, hair the color of the night sky. Nickolas Night was always a bright child, in both looks and intelligence. That was until he witnessed the most horrific murder the little town of Hampshire Shores has ever seen. Now he is just Nick, the man who hasn't talked in over 7 years and probably never will. Now at 27 he owns a small mechanics shop off the corner of Carters and 16th street, facing the Heavens manor.

My stomach dropped to my shoes as we reached the door. It was closed, and at further inspection, locked. It probably locked upon closing, but I had no key or means of opening it. My plan had been thrown out the window, and now I was just as confused as the girl beside me. “What’s the matter?” she whispered. I dreaded answering her. My mouth opened and I began to form the words, but not before I was interrupted. A growl reverberated through the very air that surrounded us, a noise so deep and threatening that it paralyzed me for a few seconds. The girl next to me let out a squeal and I swung my head in the direction that it had come from. It was the light-less corner to our left, so pitch black that not even the walls were visible. Whatever the company’s squad was hunting was here, and it was angry. ~ In small town Banff, no one expected life to change from peacefully content. But when night falls, evil lurks in the shadows. Supernatural creatures hunted by trained organizations seek revenge, power and violence; and Florence Gray has just stumbled into the middle of it.
