"Is this student really worth losing your job over?" "Yes!" Adela Montrose was never the same after suffering through sexual abuse. She did everything in her power to stay under the radar and remain unnoticed. However, after finding common ground in the library one lunchtime, her teacher begins to pay extra close attention to the girl who was a timid as a mouse. Despite her resolve to stay guarded and isolates, it becomes increasingly more difficult for her to shut out the only man that seems capable of helping her through her tragic past. Between the lunchtime tutorials and meetings in the library the two bond over their love for all things literature and form a relationship a little too close to be deemed socially acceptable. While Adela continues to fight off her own demons, Andrew Clarke battles with his growing attraction for his student.
