#MeToo

Photo goes to the rightful owner.

Ps, this is inspired by a video I watched at 3 in the morning. This is to show light on the POV of rape victims and how one person can change/affect their lives. This is dedicated to you. Please know that in this battle, you are not alone, that someone can relate, and together, we can eradicate the injustices and rape culture our society is deeply suffering from. Let's join the #MeToo campaign and advocate against sexual assault and rape.

For every step she took toward freedom, he held the chain just a little tighter. "Without hesitation, his other hand slipped inside her shirt, a single finger pressing against her lower stomach, causing her to gasp in surprise, catching her off guard. 'You're not particularly obedient, are you?' he inquired, his face drawing even closer to hers. 'Imagine my finger as a gun, pressing against your delicate skin. Would you want me to pull the trigger?' he continued, her heart racing as she feared he might hear its rapid beat. Caught off guard, she found herself unable to utter a word. His intense, dark eyes left her on the verge of tears. Every aspect of him felt overwhelmingly intense. Pressing his finger a little harder into her skin, she took a deep breath, sensing him already aware of it. 'What happened? I thought you said you speak as you please,' he mocked her. 'Don't touch me,' she finally mustered the courage to speak. Instead of releasing her, he pressed even harder, causing her to hold her breath. 'You're scared. Scared of me. And yet, you have the audacity to speak back. Weren't you taught to stay silent when someone tells you to?' he tilted his head, relishing the conflict between the fear evident in her face and the defiance in her words. 'And who are you to silence me?' she spat back, refusing to back down. In that moment, he pressed his finger even harder against her skin, eliciting a slight hiss from her at the increased pressure. 'You'll find out soon. Better start praying,' he hissed, his voice low but laced with danger. 'Don't even think about messing with my anger-I'll fucking ruin you. So keep your pretty mouth shut and listen if you know what's good for you.' 'Or else,' he mumbled, his nose almost touching hers, feeling her hold her breath. 'Bang,' he continued, mimicking a gunshot with his finger on her skin, causing her to flinch slightly." ⚠️

Years of struggling, hardship and distress, she'd finally attain it. Graduated with the highest grades, Suma Cum Laude to be exact, earning a PhD in her name after years of studying Political Sciences. One night, after a very busy day, Lea stopped in front of her gigantic house to inform the guards that she had already come home. Not until... she noticed someone she hardly knew, sleeping at her patio, resting his head on the wall. The woman inhaled and did what she scope. Beeping her car at him. That time, as he fell down from his seat and balled his fist, standing up like a total naive, Lea laughed. After what she thinks is forever, the lady finally let her curtains down and uncaged the spirit of fun from her heart. His face was familiarly-unfamiliar, but he gave her the feeling of tranquility. Was letting him in her life the best decision Mayora Leayla Arwell Galvez ever committed to? Or will she regret the day she even thought of leaving her family to chase after her dreams? 𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐗 𝐉𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧. In a world that screams, I stand in despair, My voice drowned out, lost in the air. Chains of tradition tighten each day, I long to escape, but I'm forced to stay. Each breath I take feels heavy and torn, Every mistake a scar I've worn. I crave a sky where I can be free, Away from the walls that imprison me. For now, I sit with my heart in pain, Silent, yet screaming, again and again. Though shattered, a spark in me still survives, Dreaming of freedom where my soul can rise.
