Erkenci Kuş: Broken Promises
Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!Complete
NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH ERKENCI KUS
This is a different type of Erkenci Kus story. The characters are familiar, but their interaction has changed from the series, and quirky funny things happen. I have read one story where Sanem had special powers and she will have different ones in this version. There is a difference from the other version. I hope this will be a fun filled story. I apologize if any details are similar to any other story. I try hard to write from my imagination only, except of course ideas from the series. I have no affiliation to Erkenci Kus, the cast, or anyone else involved with the series. I am just a fan, only. Please overlook, any mistakes, long drawn out sentences, or misspellings. SANEM AND CAN: OUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE BORING
This is my take on episodes 29, 30, etc. and the Fabri, perfume, Can in jail farce. I could not stand Can's attitude at the hut, his attitude was that of a spoiled brat, his yelling at Sanem in front of Polen, and her smirking. I could not stand Polen from her first introduction. My interpretation of this story does not include Can's memory loss, leaving for a year, or Sanem acting so childish. I will make Huma pay for her interference, but still working on that idea. I also did not like Emre getting off so easily. He needs to repent a little more. I thought Aziz was made out to be simple minded, when he had started and built a multimillion dollar business. He was not that old. I took creative license to make the story like I would have liked it to be and end! I made up details just to make it fun at times. There will be drama and violence, not my favorite, but will get even with some of the villains. I am not affiliated with Erkenci Kus, its actors, writers, or anyone. I am just a fan and not a writer.
