Saren, a girl who resents change and yearns for the past, meets up with her best friend and her boyfriend at a local cafe. But when a nervous boy runs into her spilling scalding hot coffee all over the both of them, her life was about to drastically change. After giving him back his jacket, she went back to her friend and forgot about the ordeal. But her action meant more to him than she could ever know.

The next day the boy shows up unexpectedly with flowers and his mother's ring. Nervous as hell, the boy struggles to explain that he's a selkie and if someone returns a selkie's skin (which was secretly hidden in his jacket) then they are bound together.

For thousands of years, selkies have been doomed with tragic endings but Cal hopes he could find happiness with Saren. Can he finally find a happy ending the rest of his species never had? 
Saren is reluctant to believe in happy endings and struggles to remain stubborn on her idea of change but can this sweet Irish selkie change her mind and her heart?
