He waited every night.
Waited minutes, maybe hours, for that faithful time. It never failed him, it was always Midnight, always. He awaited the time that sweet, soothing pattern of sounds filled his ears and entered his mind so it was stuck in his head for the rest of the night and late into the morning on the next day.
