Psychological Horror and Slow-burn Dark Romance. 18+ --------------------------- It's been five years since that fateful Friday night. I remember it like it was yesterday. The night I was kidnapped. I was held against my will. Tortured. Starved. Broken apart, piece by piece. All in the name of "curing" me. He didn't just steal my freedom. He rewrote the rules of pain, of fear - and then, somehow, of love. If you'd told me I'd fall for the man who ruined my life, I would've laughed in your face. But reality doesn't always follow logic. He's given me this journal and I'm going to write my story. This is my truth. My confession. My war cry. Because what he did to me deserves to be known. --------------------------- THIS BOOK CONTAINS TRAUMATIC CONTENT! There is one rule in the game. And it needs to be broken. There is one goal. And when you attain it, you die. Wolves are hiding in the woods, just waiting for little girls to stray. But young women are not exactly known for their obedience, are they? Will they be able to resist the temptations of the forest? Will they stay clear of danger? Can they prevent the ancient tale from being retold? Can the Woodsman save them?

Alone. Naked. Cold. Covered in blood that is just as likely to be mine as someone else's. I don't know who I am, where I am, or what I'm running from. All I get are flashes, snippets of dark shadows, sneering faces. Pain always follows these nightmares, these memories. I was found, taken in, but I have no way of knowing if I only escaped the frying pan just to jump into the fire. I don't understand these people, these wolves. They don't understand me, either. Our words mean nothing to each other, they're no more than sounds. We use gestures, facial expressions, body language like the beasts we seem to be. I can only pray these beasts are not the same ones I'm running from. -This story has depictions of violence, depression, panic attacks, gore. "So." She mused, sliding one black nail across her lip in a sensual caress as she stared at me with eyes the color of molten gold. "You are the one they call Huntress." Disregarding the pain in my side from the most recent beating, I straightened my shoulders and stood tall, my chin jutting out in defiance. "Yes." "Mm." Those intriguing eyes watched me from her languid position on the throne. "But, you are not just a huntress, are you?" I allowed the predatory instincts I usually worked so hard to keep hidden, to surface, feeling the burning of my eyes and shifting of bones under my skin. A slow grin slid across my face as my beast stared back at her through my human skin. The Queen didn't react to my sudden change of character, instead choosing to lean forward in interest. "How fascinating." • Once, the world was ruled by humans and technology. They were governed by a president that made choices for all. Vampires, werewolves alike hid their existence from the humans for centuries, blending in as a whole. Now, they hid no more. States are now territories governed by kings and queens, humans are regarded and used for no more than their blood and body before they are discarded and forgotten. Werewolves and vampires were at war, and it was said that the wolves had all been but snuffed out, save for one. When Adira is captured while hunting outside her homeland, she is unexpectedly sold to the Queen in the North. Wolf blood is sacred, it is said to hold inexplainable powers, and as the only wolf-borne known to humans and vampires alike, Adira fears for her life. Thrown into a world governed by everything she's been trained to hate, Adira fights for her rightful place in the world, a seat at the Queen's side. But proving her worth won't be easy, the price for failure is her life.

[COMPLETE] (Please note: If you're looking for something that has a happy ending and leaves you feeling inspired, then I regret to say that this story is not it. In fact, it is more likely to have the opposite effect - my apologies. I will also warn you that it is very angsty and also frankly, at least to my current feelings, cringey - you can blame teenage me for that) Meet Ebony Lockheart, a suicidal, depressed teenager, who wants nothing more than to end her suffering. I was chosen by the Moon Goddess, only to be rejected by my Alpha in front of our entire pack. Cast out. Broken. Alone. I was forced into the unforgiving wilderness with nothing but the tattered remains of my life. But I wasn't entirely alone. I carried a secret-his secret. The son of the Alpha who marked me as unworthy, the heir he would never know. To survive, I had to become someone else. The weak, invisible Omega died that night, and from her ashes, a warrior was born. I found a new power flowing through my veins, a gift from the Goddess I never understood. I was no longer the pack's weakest link. I was a survivor. A fighter. A mother. But when a deadly plague sweeps through the pack that threw me away-a sickness only I can cure-my past comes hunting for me. The Alpha who broke my soul now needs my help. He doesn't know that I'm his only hope. And he certainly doesn't know that I carry his son. Can I save the people who betrayed me without losing myself? And can I protect my heart from the possessive Alpha who is not just my fated mate, but also the father of my child and the greatest danger I've ever known?
