Despite her predicament, Sara realizes how lucky she is among many other teenagers when the world appears to be ending. Curious about her new life in WICKED headquarters, however, she discovers a sickening truth. As time goes by, she meets new people, good and bad, and a British boy that changes her life forever. Their relationship is sour and unfriendly at first. They practically can't stand each other, but slowly, they start giving in to the obvious. Their romantic relationship is constantly at stake, however. Family mysteries are unveiled; friendships are put to the test; trust narrows down to a brief list of people; and decisions become less black-and-white. And finally, hope is lost and regained over and over in a vicious cycle. She'll have to sacrifice a lot, accept things she swore she would change, but in the end, who will survive? Will there be any hope left?
