Betty moved to Riverdale in Sophomore year because of her abusive dad and drunken mom. Polly and Charles are twins and Polly already was living in Riverdale with her twins Juniper and Dagwood. They decided to met each other's families after two months of dating. Her dad didn't support it so he kept on abusing Betty while Alice sat there watching it happen.
