Slave in a World Unknown

Amber lived in a world like no other, one created from the stories of legends and built on the basis of magic and a community of creatures that might come across as monsters in stories to children. But these beasts were not the monsters that people were warned against, they were the prey to a more terrible race. Humans. Creatures with a greed for destruction and the overtaking of a world that is not theirs to take. On the night of the festival, Amber, a witch of sorts, is taken by these creatures. She is shackled in chains, her childhood friend, who may becoming something more (Derek), fighting away at the group of humans before forced to flee. In an instant, everything Amber knew toppled upside down. She is thrust into a world with little heart and caged between stone and iron. Slavery takes her to new places, but her heart throbs for home and Derek. A witch is a dangerous creature when taken against her will and humans are just about to find out what happens when they take one from its home. While leading her way through a series of troubles, magic spins secrets and friends become enemies. Between slave camps, carnivals, and mazes built for killing, Amber starts to doubt whether she will ever see home again.
