Best friends with the bad boy

On the car ride back to my hometown with my mom I was getting really nervous. Why, u ask? Thats because 4 years ago I used to live there it was where I grew up with my best friend Jesse Underhill which means I get to reunite with him. I was only 12 years old when I moved away from Dallas, Texas which meant leaving my best friend behind. I was super upset and I never really enjoyed it here in California it was super boring and I didn't bother making friends especially because of my step father who is the reason why me and my mom moved away in the first place 4 years ago. She met him a few months before we moved away from Texas and they had their wedding in California and we lived here since then. Now finally we are moving back to Texas getting away from that evil bastard who's my step father.... he always was threatening me if I ever made friends and spoke to them he'll hurt them and make me keep my mouth shut. I've been trying to tell my mom, but she never listened to me until recently when she saw him beating me up...........

Mackenzie Andrea Kalister and Jesse Isaiah Underhill have been best friends since birth. Both of their moms were best friends since high school and both had a baby around the same time. (Jesse and Mackenzie) Jesse only being a few months Older than her always teases her about being older.
