A sudden laughter broke me out of my chanting. I opened my eyes and gasped. The sight ahead of me nearly blow me out of my heels. I drank in the sight of him, tall, masculine , dark black ruffled hair and laughing blue eyes that stared back at me. At that moment seconds seemed like minutes, minutes seemed like hours, hours seemed like days, days seemed like weeks, weeks seemed like... "First day?" he asked making me snap out of my reverie. "Ye..ye..yess" i stammered. Great he'll probably think I'm a retard now. He smiled, a genuine smile , a smile that reached all the way to his eyes. He took a sip of his coffee, still looking at me intently. What happens when Sarah Wate meets successful businessman Joshua Colt? Would he make her see life in a different light? or would he back away after learning her secret? Read to find out!

"But seriously, why won't you go on a date with me? Just one date, come on." "The question is why would I ever want to go on a date with you?" I muttered in barely suppressed annoyance. He shrugged as if the reason was obvious. "Well that's easy. I'm good looking, cute, smart," he listed. "Funny, and did I mention hot?" "Cocky too." I piped in, earning a frown him. "Tell me one good reason for you to not like me." He said firmly. "For a start, you are a blackmailer." I stated accusingly, narrowing my eyes in his direction and pointing a finger at him. "And most importantly, you are not fictional." ........ Warning: Contains mentioning of some dark themes like domestic violence and child abuse. Edit. Completed.
