Have you ever wondered who took all those rare candid photos of the King that you only come across every once in a while? Do you ever wonder, in a world of people out for his fame and wealth, who Elvis would let close enough to take such intimate photographs? Did you ever consider that it was someone close to him, no one professional, who took them?

Annabel Jenkins - she'd prefer if you call her Annie - was only 14 years old when she moved to Memphis, Tennessee. The move was a result of her father's new job, for which he brought Annie and her mother along with him. Upon starting at the local high school, Humes High, Annie found herself as an outcast. As she was no one particularly special, not gifted in an outright glance, people just ignored her. There was the odd comment, maybe something to do with her auburn hair or her older looking, fuller figure, but they were just jealous girls or disrespectful boys. She had it nowhere near as bad as the school's resident punch bag, a kid called Elvis Presley.

Annie recognised him; they lived two houses apart. And because of their common ground as outcasts, they quickly became friends. And so started a friendship that would last until Elvis' last breath.

Bella Cooper and the Half-Bloods (Percy Jackson Fanfic) by Reverie_98

*COMPLETED-25K+ WORDS* Bella Cooper is defiant and strong, even when her modernized finishing school for girls tries to rip her opinionated personality from her. However, dealing with prissy rich girls and 'feminine manners' are the least of her worries. Recently, she's come face to face with crazy weird monsters and learned about some new Greek family that has some on-going drama which, unfortunately, she is now part of. Luckily, Camp Half-Blood is a place where kids can learn about their new powers and abilities, and explore their history safely. Sounds perfect, and the only thing Bella needs is to be a demi-god! Well, she doesn't meet that criterion either. Now she's only got three days to fix her broken family, learn how to have normal teenage relationships, and tell the truth about her Greek Underworld parent. Let's hope that's enough time. (HEADS UP: this was entirely for fun, please keep that in mind! This is a fanfiction set in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians world created by Rick Riordan. It doesn't include any lore from Trials of Apollo or Heros of Olympus. I do not claim to own any of the characters created by Rick Riordan, including Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, or Nico di Angelo. I have taken creative license regarding the facts about the Greek mythological creatures mentioned, so don't take them for fact! The same can be said for my use of witchcraft. "What path?" Annabella snapped at him. "You're just a mere teenager, aren't you?" The boy's mouth started twitching. "Of course not. Don't underestimate me." "Then tell me... Who are you?" "It's better to know less. The more you know, the more you get into trouble. I don't want that, Big Sister." Ewww... Big sister? Here the story starts... Annabella Zoey Parker was a girl who loved the concept called, 'Single Forever.' She never wanted to get married not because she didn't believe in love or because she got betrayed by her ex-boyfriend. In fact, she didn't even have a boyfriend. It was NOT because she wasn't attractive enough. She was actually a beautiful girl. The thing was, she loved being alone and doing her work peacefully without no one there to meddle in her business. However, her parents especially her mother didn't understand that. She wanted to get her daughter married as soon as possible. "You have to marry soon. You are almost 26. How long do you want to stay single? Until you turn 30s or 40s?!" Annabella took a deep breath before turning towards her mother with a serious face. "Okay, I'll get married." Mrs Parker's eyes lit up instantly. "Really?" She asked with a wide smile on her face. "Yeah, but on one condition. You should wait till next year." Annabella stated. Mrs Parker was confused. "But why?" "Because he's still seventeen. He'll become an adult next year so we can get married right away." Mrs Parker: "..."
