A wonderous tome of developed insanity, this is a compilation of all the ideas, inspiration, and wild tangents I've entertained for far too long, but weren't long enough to be made into a full book.

When Fear Takes Hold
A new, deadly disease is spreading, and although necessary precautions are put in place, the nations don't show much concern. That is, until it's revealed they aren't immune to it either. A special quarantine is organized for the nations who have fallen ill as researchers around the world attempt to find a cure. Those trapped inside the quarantine suffer from pain, loss, and even madness as they are reduced to that of mere humans. This brings light to them as they realize what it is like to be mortal. And they are terrified. Buried memories resurface and unspoken truths are told. Is the clown the fool of the story, or are you? After all, the clown knows it's an act, but the audience is so lost in it that they tend to forget. Alfred had lived a long life. He'd learned a lot in it. That England was easy to gaslight if you knew what you were doing. France would back away from any show of force. Germany could ignore a bumbling idiot even as the evidence piled up just because he wasn't very good with people. Poland saw everything and read people like a book. Prussia would keep his mouth shut if you gave him enough liquor or made him obedient. Russia would turn a blind eye if you turned one to him. China never trusted anyone even if there was evidence of the contrary.
