Aviva or ava as she likes to be called has pretty much lived on her own since she turned thirteen, her parents always traveling and "working". She hasn't always had it easy in life especially not when depression hit her hard in her fifthteens, she struggled with not only self harm but also with a eating disorder.

The only one who was there for her is her best friend Dave and he's her one and only friend. Not that she's bullied or anything, but because of her shy, quiet and awkward personality. 

Her life is as plain as a high school girls life can gets, she prefers staying home and watching series over going out at partying on the weekends. 

So when the new girl suddenly catches  an interest  for quiet but bubbly Ava her life is turned upside down. 

Ava starts questioning not only her sexuality but if all those bedtime stories is real.

They had to pack up their lives and head to what they think is a quiet boring town of rich black people like themselves...however, they get a crash course immediately into Napa Society not even 2 hours after crossing the town line.
