After the death of her father, a young half breed Nord was left to fend for herself. At least, that's what she thought; Until a smart mouthed Dunmer, a kind and gentle Orismer and a very unique Dragonborn came into her life.
With her friends she travels back to her little farm, only to find it in ruins. Once there, the distraught girl stumbles upon a secret that drives her and her friends to the long forgotten ruins of  a crypt that only added onto an ever heart wrenching secret.

This is the story of Tamriel's songbird, and how her song would forever be silenced by a past she is bound and determined to change.

A man she's met a few times before. Farkas. She joins the group and they train her. Her destiny falls into place as her life is quickly changed as she falls for the werewolf named Farkas. Third story to "His Harbinger," sequel to "Something to Protect." Everything makes much more sense if you at least read "His Harbinger" first. Vilkas x Dragonborn (established) Farkas x Lydia (also established and a bit background) Based on my play through of the Dragonborn DLC with my Dragonborn Krinna Dovh, a female Nord. Krinna has visions and premonitions so there are some things she just knows (continuing a headcannon established in the first two books). Mostly told from Vilkas's perspective, with occasional snippets from the Dragonborn's perspective. Also explores aspects of married life; Vilkas being hot-tempered, but sweet and loyal. Story is set after the Companions quest line, the civil war, and the main story line is complete (events of "His Harbinger") and after the Dawnguard DLC (events of "Something to Protect") Also not entirely cannon compliant. And of course this is a fanfiction, the only thing unique to me is my specific characterization of the Dragonborn, everything else belongs to Bethesda, including portions of the dialogue. And lastly, marked mature for some strongly suggestive occasions (I won't write the details, but they're married), and occasional vulgar language.
