Before my finger tip touched her, I stopped, looking her in her star filled eyes.
"I am Guardian Khalkali."
The first in the Guardian series, this is the story of how Khalkali, a human living alone on a hybrid half planet becomes a hero.
She doesn't remember much of her past, and for as long as she can date back, she doesn't remember her parents, or ever having any. But a fateful encounter winds her up with President Fritz, who guides her through this story on how to become the lost hero that all of Galactica has been waiting for.
But will fear and stronger opponents darken The Guardians confidence, or will her light truly burn through all?

This story is the third in a ten-book series based on the video game franchise, "Destiny," developed by Bungie. The universe of Destiny is a science-fictional setting taking place in the future, where Humanity has been reduced to a singular city on Earth, and must rely on the Guardians, Humans who wield a power known as the Light, to defend them from various alien threats within the Sol system. This saga is NOT intended to be 100% lore accurate, and should be taken as an alternate timeline from the main canon. The primary purpose of this fanfiction is to re-tell the story that takes place in Destiny and its sequel, Destiny 2, but with a twist. The twist being that the playable "Guardian" character, who is known to be a blank-slate one-man-army amongst a roster of developed characters, is instead a team of multiple Guardians who all have their own backstories and personalities. The plot of this saga will follow the plot of the game its based on closely, but not exactly.
