When Gael starts a new school year at a brand new school, she doesn't plan to make any friends or go to school to do anything but learn, but after the first week of school she develops an odd fascination with the girl who seemed to be in every one of her classes, but is never awake for any of them.
After asking around Gael discovers that the girl who was always sleeping is named Vera, and she has somewhat of a reputation. No one has ever seen her awake despite the fact that she always manages to show up for her classes with all the right textbooks and supplies.
After finding out about the strange rumours and reputation surrounding Vera, Gael makes it her mission to be the first person to catch Vera when she isn't sleeping. But that's easier said than done, and somehow, along the way Gael manages to fall for the sleeping girl and her good looks.
