As I walk into the school, I see her. I run down, and greet her with a hug. "How are you, Brit?"

"I am great! I am so excited for this year."

"Hey, Brit! Hey, Beth!" We hear a guy's voice, and we instantly know who it is  as we turn to face him. 

"How are you, James!" we respond.

"Are you guys excited for this year? It should be fun, if my older brother was right." James says.

"I sure am. I can't wait to start the dance program. I heard it's great." I say, and both of them roll their eyes and laugh.

As the lights go down in the auditorium,  everyone quiets down waiting for the first speaker at the welcoming assembly. 

I catch eyes with a stranger. He is tall, with dark, chestnut hair, and a nice body. He looks away as he realizes he is staring. I can tell he is blushing.All Rights Reserved
