My entry for the #PlanetOrPlastic contest for National Geographic.
In 500 words or less, we were asked to write and share a story, may it be real or fiction that was inspired by the photos that were presented. I suck at writing short stories (they tend to get away from me and turn out much longer than I originally intended, so this was quite the challenge), but I managed, and I really like how it turned out.

The old world is dead. After a major catastrophe rocks the planet, massive tsunamis swallow coastlines and destroy cities. The remaining survivors desperately seek refuge in the only place left - inland Africa. All nations are now on one land. Battling environmental threats, a total lack of infrastructure, and a breakdown of law and order, civility erodes as a violent clash of cultures are forced to co-habitat on an land in which they were not invited. New identities and tribes form. Some rise to power, while others become enslaved. People changed into dinosaurs and prehistoric reptiles ranging from small dinosaurs such as Microraptor to giants such as Argentinosaurus a colossal one plus foot long herbivore. Read the journey of Ash Huntsman and his friends as they start off as humans before they become hunters. Will they reach the highest point of the food pyramid? Will he become the king and the strongest apex predator the world has seen? I will be editing this later on but not quite yet expect the process to start sometime in March maybe April of this year. Marine retiles include animals from the Cambrian period to Cretaceous period. Giants of these include Mosasaurus, giant sharks, and the earliest Brontoscropio from the Cambrian period.
