A young woman that goes by the name of Serena Marino, is a lost woman with nowhere to go and nowhere to turn. She managed to get to Venice on her own and there she settles. Everything is fine and dandy and she works in the stands when they have a carnival and masquerades mask dances. They have jesters for entertainment and life as well. Until she runs into a mysterious person that is dress differently from everyone else at first she wants nothing to do with him, afraid that he is from her past. She keeps away from him as she can and the more she tries the more it seems life is bringing her to him every time she turns around. Will she let him help her to finally get rid of her past that's been haunting her for years or will she keep on running away from everything? (Disclaimer: I do not own anything in here except for my characters and that is it.)

She's going to suffer some dark times, and it's going to challenge her relationship with Ezio in a very different way than before. As such, this story is going to involve some more mature themes. Some pretty dark scenes are going to happen or be alluded to, so here's your main warning. I'll try to warm ahead of chapters I feel may be particularly dark, but just know it's a darker tone over all (and also mature language). As usual, if you see any mistakes, please let me know!
