This was my first proper UT series. Looots of plot holes, that are now being filled. I won't change the core story but a few elements will be different and I'll get another ending cuz the "SAO" (Those of you who watched the anime will know) ending was really lame and didn't make sense.

This is the book one of my AU called VTale.
You may call it an introduction to the world, with some Charisk elements. (I do intent to save Charisk elements in the future)

Everything goes along perfectly normal like it does in the game, with Asriel and Chara meeting, they make the pie for their dad, he recovers from the flowers, Chara dies... Though there is a change. When Asriel goes to the surface to lay Chara's dead body on the flower bed in the middle of the human village, and he gets attacked, he turns back before he dies. And this one, simple, turn of events, changes everything Okaay so, this is an old book. Nearly two years now, tho I don't remember the exact time I started it. Thing is old me didn't know how to write stories very well, and so in my supposed free time starting in a week or two I'm gonna try to edit this so I can feel a lil better about it. I am not affiliated in any way with fangamer.com. This is my 1st story in a VERY long time. I like to do things a little different as far as reader inserts go. 1. Instead of Y/N for your name, I use _______. Why? Because when I'm reading a story and read Y/N I think Y/N and then have to remember the name of the character I've made in my head, where as if I see _____, I immediately replace it with the name because there is no word for me to read. Love it or hate it, comment. I can be persuaded if the masses disagree. 2. I don't do H/C, E/C, etc., because it does the same thing that Y/N does for me. Instead, I will be as vague as I can on insert character descriptions giving the reader more freedom to imagine what they look like without forcing it down their throats. 3. For undertale specifically, I am more inclined to make monster!reader inserts, because that makes more sense to me. This will not always be the case. If the masses prefers human!reader inserts, comment so that I may be persuaded to do so. Also, feel free to ask for requests. The more requests I get, the more inclined I will be to do more stories. They don't just have to be undertale related. I will give you credit for any requests at the beginning of the story.

What if there was an anomaly in the Underground? No, not Frisk. Not Chara either. Someone else entirely. How could a few measly children stand to this supposedly immortal foe and save the Underground from destruction? Is it even possible to do so? That means no Soriel, Papyton, etc. The only ships are Torgore (in the past) and Alphyne. •This is NOT an x reader. I heavily dislike those types of stories. The reader will have no part in this. •This exists outside of canon to an extreme. For example, Frisk is the second human and not the eighth. •There will be OCs, but only for a few humans and they still technically exist in normal Undertale. •There is a sequel. I'm planning on rewriting it after this one, as it is much more random and definitely needs it. Clanky, plot holes/retconning, etc. It's more of an OC thing, to explore them and their issues, than an Undertale thing, but it has its similarities. •There will be some explicitives. It won't be unnecessary or excessive, only when it fits the situation and character. I will not be using any slurs, as that's just plain disrespectful, even if some of them apply to me. "The Time Before" by ANinnyMouse42 is the backstory for Sans in this AU with some adjustments (mainly since that was very close to my original idea before I read it and I don't want people to think I copied their masterpiece or smth, if you haven't read it please do so, it's really good). Some things will be in reference to the other books in the trilogy or "From War to Science" by Emotistic-optimistic. If you haven't, read that too. It's really good (along with its sequel).
