Rise of Fire: Dragons Reborn [COMPLETED] by RosaleeRain
49 parts Complete Mature
The world had long since forgotten the age of dragons, those creatures that had once ruled the skies as gods had long since disappeared after the conclusion of the Great Demon Wars. Dragons became nothing more than a fading legend, a story to tell children at bedtime. But the gods could not let the dragons die, for they were the last defense against the demon armies and the dark god Vekkar. Talia had been born and raised in a world of darkness acting as an agent of Hephatus, goddess of assassins and death. She knew only a life of killing, sometimes for justice, sometimes for honor, always for money. Her morals were opaque at best. But when she's deployed to the city of Arboros she finds herself thrust into a world of political games, opposing powers, and constant threat. Nowhere was safe even for her. Her goals became muddied, and then lost altogether when she meets the Dwarven Prince. Bromyr had spent the last five years of his life chasing ghosts, desperate to find the lost dragon eggs. His people thought him crazy, his father stripped him of his titles, but he never gave up. Eventually his effort bore fruit and he hastily made way to return to his homeland only to get caught up in the city of Arboros. It was there that he met an intriguing half-giant, a woman who ignited a fire everywhere she went. In the end she was the one who inadvertently brought about the new age of dragons. What could go wrong when an ill tempered assassin becomes the first dragon rider of a new age? ***Cover made by annie1loves1you***

26 parts Complete Mature
Six hundred years ago, the world-- reborn from Ragnarok-- was nearly destroyed in an Uprising led by the Great Usurper, the Lord of All Evil, Vandr. The nine heroic Drakahalr rose to stop him, but could only imprison him before their deaths. Prophecy foretells of a time when they shall both return, and throw the world into a mighty war... But none of that is Bjalla's problem. Her issues come from being an escaped thrall, forced into pirating and working her fingers to the bone in the Black Markets. Stuck in her awful reality with her is her brother Jarl, and sister Alf, a long with their mother and grandparents. Jarl wants to be an einherjar, Alf a bard, and more than anything, Bjalla wishes to one day become a dragonrider-- a thought her siblings scoff at. When an opportunity presents itself to earn their freedom in a gladiatorial competition, the triplets leap at the chance: but it all may be for nothing, as they are unprepared. Jarl is strong, but undisciplined. Alf is smart, but her overconfidence leads to many mistakes. Bjalla is too weak, barely capable of lifting her sword, let alone swing it. And now she's found herself intrigued by the dangerous rogue Hrafnfar, the daemish dragonrider, against all of her mother's warnings. Their biggest problem is trusting their teammates. Thankfully, there's six months of training before the fights begin... but a little voice inside Bjalla's head that sounds horribly like the duke that imprisoned her keeps insisting that she will NEVER be good enough.

When the boundary between life and death thins, Daphne DeLaris finds herself trapped between two worlds. After a tragic car accident claims the life of her best friend, Daphne is haunted by Death's cold shadow. Night after night, she dreams of the Final Horseman, cloaked in darkness, silently reminding her that her fate is no longer her own. The Veil is no mere boundary-it is a living realm teeming with power, a dark reflection of both life and death. In this twilight world, cities rise and fall, while every shadow hides a secret. The dead, the damned, and the defiled are locked in a delicate struggle for control. At the center of it all stands Daphne, the Mistress of the Veil, bound by necromantic powers gifted to her by Death himself. Her task? To maintain balance in a realm ruled by chaos, betrayal, and ambition. But when political factions from the Order of the Coven and infernal forces vie for control over her prophecy, Daphne is thrusted into a complex web of deceit. She must navigate a precarious relationship with an ancient Vampyr Elder, a cunning Wizard with ties to the Coven, and a Devil's Disciple who rides at the edge of chaos. Together, they offer Daphne guidance-or so they claim-on how to harness her powers as Mistress of the Veil. But who among them truly seeks to help her, and who seeks to control the very realm she is meant to protect? As the Veil begins to bleed into the mortal world and time runs out, Daphne must confront not only Death but her own inner darkness. The greatest battle she will face is not with the forces that seek to rule the Veil, but with herself. Will Daphne embrace her destiny as the Mistress of the Veil, or will she succumb to the ever-growing shadows threatening to consume her-and the world as she knows it?
