Letters to My Lord

Fifteen-year-old Royce Jamieson is the second eldest out of seven. Her poor family lives in the flats of L.A., where her single mother brought up seven children to believe in the love and hope of their Lord after her dad died. Her older brother, Donte, stood by her side and acted like both an older brother and father through her difficult times.

When Royce's mother is hospitalized with a serious heart attack, Royce and her brother are sent scrambling for money. As Royce steps into the ways and shoes of her brother, she realizes how reckless and daring he is willing to become in order to ensure that his family survives.

She doesn't see his death coming until it's too late. Donte is struck dead by a hit-and-run one night while she and him were out swimming with friends.
Now, she's more desperate than ever to keep her family surviving with food on the table and clothes on their back. Throughout her questions and struggles, her trails and tribulations slowly but surely bring her closer to God when she begins to write to her Lord, in a time of dire love in silenced isolation of the heart.
