My first non-fanfic story. I hope you all enjoy.
"Suvarna the Bharat is here." screamed my best friend. 
I really did not care that the Bharat had arrived as I was reflecting on my life. At the tender age of 18, I am being married off. I always thought of a beautiful life when I finish school as I applied for my tertiary education at UCT(University of Cape Town) which was my dream and now I am being married off. Why did they like me why not my sister. I was always been neglected ever since my younger brother was born. I always tried to make my parents happy but nothing made them proud not even me being the topper in the whole of South Africa. I come out of my dream world when my mum calls out to me "Suvarna it is time for the nuptial rounds." I woke up from my deep thoughts and went down. Well, right now I don't have time to say anything else all I can say is join me on my journey in making a place for myself in everyone's life and heart.

My eyes widened and I didn't know how but my hand was already on my forehead. I didn't expect this from him. Why in the world would he want to marry me? He hates the way I look at the world. He wants everyone to be as heartless as him and I would never be able to do that. "Dangerously kind" is the word he used to describe me a while ago. We wouldn't even make good friends, let alone life partners. How in the world could we live together? "So it's official. I have only married you because of my doll" he said rudely to me. I forcefully release my hand from his hulk like grip which resulted into breaking my bangles & a piece of glass cut into my hand.
