"Cyrus, LET ME GO !" Aurora shouted as Cyrus pinned her to the wall.

"Never," said Cyrus.

That must have been the cheesiest reply for him to use. She might have even laughed at their situation if it weren't for the boiling rage clouding her eyes.

"Cyrus," she said enunciating every syllable "for the last time, that is not how relationships work! You have to respect my wishes and I wish to go home."

"THIS IS YOUR HOME" Cyrus shouted back and punched the wall with a loud smash. His eyes turned to the colour of a storm. And this time Aurora was sure it wasn't lust that he felt.

With that last sentence, he stormed out of the room with his vampire speed. And Aurora was left alone with her thoughts. She couldn't believe the reality of what was happening. Darn the day she accepted that stupid invitation, stepped into this stupid king city, and most of all locked eyes with the king, that possessive, crazy, jealous vampire. Darn it all! She thought.

I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect. Quickly dumped into a world of supernatural Aurora must find her place despite the fact a possessive werewolf seems to want to tell her what to do. Can she adjust or will she crumble under the pressure? Excerpt: The screams and cries for help faded while silent tears continued to stream down her face. Her hands were slapped over her mouth to muffle any noise that escaped her quivering lips. She wasn't sure how long she was in that pantry but couldn't come out until she was beyond certain that they had left. For a moment, she started to have hope that maybe they wouldn't be able to find her, but a voice spoke up, and fear flooded in once again. "You cleared out the upstairs, too, right?" "Yeah." Another voice responded. There was a slight pause, "Hmm. Then where is that heartbeat coming from, I wonder." His voice had a sickening amusement to it, and her heart rate uncontrollably spiked with the adrenaline pumped through her veins. Was he talking about her? The thought that he could hear her heartbeat was crazy. It just wasn't humanly possible. Footsteps grew closer to the kitchen. Somehow, they had found her. She said one last prayer and goodbye to her life as the pantry opened. "Boo." The man yelled, peering in at her. She was frozen. There was nothing more she could do. She was going to die. "Little Birdy," he stretched out his hand, "come out to play."

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust

"⚠️ This story contains themes of abuse, manipulation, and violence. It is purely fictional and not intended to romanticize harmful behavior." Alex grabbed her by the chin, forcing her to look at him, his voice low, dangerous-a venom-laced promise. "You're mine now," he growled. "My wife. My hidden bride. My possession. I'll Fuck you when I want, how I want, where I want. And if you even flinch, I'll make sure you never walk again." He stepped closer, his eyes blazing with rage and obsession. "Take off your clothes, Lara. Now." She trembled, frozen, tears running down her cheeks. -and he shoved her against the wall. "You thought marriage to me would be a cage?" he sneered. "No, Lara. This is hell. And I'm the devil who'll fuck you as I see fit. Whenever. Wherever. However. Because you belong to me now." "I said take them off," he hissed in her ear. "Before I rip them off myself." Lara's breath hitched as she slowly raised trembling fingers to her blouse. Every movement was filled with dread, humiliation, and hopelessness. He grabbed her roughly, threw her on the bed, climbing on top of her like a predator claiming its prey. His lips crashed against hers-not with love, but punishment. His kiss bruised. His hands unforgiving. "Spread your legs like a good little wife," he hissed, "or I'll force them open."
