Her kind were all hunted to extinction by human, Fae and Khaos alike, in a massive apocalyptic war known to all survivors as the war of Psemata. 

Living in post-apocalypse America, she survives by dealing in information of a volatile nature. The kind of stuff that could ruin kings and commoners alike.  

She needs truths like a Vampyr needs blood, or a human needs food, but one slip up could reveal her powers to the Khaos, who are on the prowl for any Alitheia still alive.    

And when it does, she is ripped from hiding and thrust into the open. Now, everyone she has ever known, and everyone she doesn't is after her.

Her only choice is to run.

Rune is a secret assassin for Queen Eiva, who has sent him on a mission to find out about this upcoming war, threatened by a group called the Pandoreos. He has his own secrets that not even the queen knows, however, Dakota, a wolf who can speak to Erin, can tell he's hiding something. Erin eventually struggles with her feelings toward Rune. When the threat of the Pandoreos worsens, Rune is called back to queen Eiva. Rune commands Erin to travel with Kier, a man who has a special hatred for these Pandoreos, and warn Queen Beatrice, and King Cecerion about the upcoming war, in hope for an alliance with Queen Eiva. That is, if the humans can stay one step ahead of the Pandoreos.
