When Owen Hunt faints and discovers he has a valve tumour, Christina Yang comes back to Seattle for the first time in 5 years to operate on him. The attention of the whole hospital lands on her, especially of Amelia Shepherd who was once married to her former husband like she was.

Although she planned on staying for a small period of time, she decides to stay and lead him through his recovery. Despite her pure intentions, her arrival only sparks up old feelings for each other and a whole bucketload of drama. Even though his heart is in full function from her stitches, the way that they talk to each other rips out the previous mends they once sewn in each other.

When the tension pulls out stress, damage, and heartbreak, they learn that their differences might push them together again.
