Steven finds that a mysterious force of unknown causes has been lurking within beach city.
After multiple casualties from abrupt monster attacks, Steven and Connie are the only ones responsible in protecting beach city as all of Steven's family has disappeared.
It is up to them to solve an ancient affair that threatens to annihilate all who stands in her way.
The mystery goes on deeper as the gem leads them all to one of the biggest secrets Rose Quartz had ever kept. A secret, that will either destroy the crystal gems or bind them closer together.
This story takes place BEFORE the events of can't go back and a single pale rose. So Steven doesn't know that he's a diamond yet.
Btw, this book is going to have a lot of very aggressive scenes opposing from my last ones so yeah, enjoy that!

Steven looks different compared to when he was kid, but after white diamond removed his gem he began to notice that something wasn't quite right so he went to the mirror and look at whats different and to his surprise, his hair was turning pink but thats not all he noticed, his Gem...it began to rotate to that of a diamond so he did the only thing he could think of, he went to the diamonds about this, so say they were shocked was an understatement, so white diamond began to explain that maybe when she removed his gem, the gem itself began to make changes because your human half can't take the diamond powers that are showing so it maybe changing you to be a half-Diamond, steven understood that his gem was only doing what it thought was protecting him. So he just let it happen even though it was hurting when his gem was rotating but white diamond said that it might take awhile for it to rotate. So he was just walking around in pain but doesn't let it affect him and he didn't tell the gems of the new changes yet.
