Madeline Brielle Kavanaugh, a young girl. Mentally she is broken. Her mother is a successful, rich buisnesswoman. After her father left them when she was six her mother changed. Her mother started drinking and became abusive, mentally and physically. She is still hopeful one day she'll have a friend for life. But at the same time she is very scared to be rejected as a person, because her mother did.

Bradley Arthur Rogers, maybe has a fancy name but his life certainly is not. Bradley is born into a family that is undeniable poor. Bradley doesn't want anyone's pity but is unhappy most of the time.His dream is to be wealthy, good man one day. But for now he is trying to help his family out a little bit by beginning on the streets of NYC.Bradly also gets a beating from time to time, it could be from the other teens in his neighbourhood or his dad. John does love his son but he can't deal with the stress of having to provide for his family(which he can't do).He lives in a dangerous part of NYC and always leaves to go downtown at 6:45 AM. Hoping one day will be different than the rest of his boring days
