Notre professeur de Français nous à proposé un concourt d'écriture avec comme thème "Vivre ensemble". J'adore écrire, et souvent, on me félicite des histoires que mon stylo dessine de son encre la plus noir. Or, pour ce thème, je n'ai aucune inspiration. This story came up to me one day about four years before yesterday. I have to accept the real and mostly true events that did happen in Paris in the year 2018. The events happened a couple of months later I wrote this fantasy! The French President was shocked himself by the events described in my book! I am sorry, dear Mr. President about those events! What's the story about? About the long-forgotten man - the last Viking, Harald the Severe (Hardrada) A piece of the plot itself: "I've just woken up from the dead. I guess I've killed my wife and let her rest in peace. Before I sucked her dry, she was mumbling some crazy bullshit about my future, the world that needed me, and other creepy things. Let her get away! She had a peeve with me and my beaten head for the whole of my life! And now I've drunk her life and blood till the last drop. I hate them both! Why am I fucking alive?" "I can now see my future. I will follow the right path. But for me, it won't be a path. It will be a highway as I am the king!" "I don't want to have a total monopoly. I want to be free. Why can't I?" "I must make everyone believe me! And then I have to betray them all. There will be no road for me but a path. The miserable end awaits anyway! Let it be if that's God's will!"

FREELANCER. BOOK ONE of the FREELANCER SERIES de JAJordan7221

Back in the late 1990's a great PC game came out called FREELANCER. It was an open galaxy adventure space game that had a good storyline. I spent untold hours flying through space in this game and I always thought it was ripe for a spinoff side story but I never pursued it. Nearly 30 years later I discovered a website called GOOD OLD GAMES where you could find and download many great games of yore. There I found FREELANCER. So I climbed back into the cockpit of a starfighter after so long and have enjoyed it even more than I did way back when. Once again the possibility of a side story presented itself and this time I have risen to the challenge. I have always been an avid reader of SCI-FI and I will be the first to tell you that I have blatantly used ideas from other sci-fi works in my story. I have also used names of real people and places to flesh out my narrative. And as a warning for those offended by sexual content, I have included some pretty erotic sexual segments in my story, so you may want to close your eyes as you read those parts. If you have ever enjoyed playing the FREELANCER PC game, you may enjoy my story. Let me know. As a side note to the story: In the story there is a space station named Lajes. In the following books I have changed the name from Lajes to Freeport Seven. Sorry if it causes any confusion.

I don't know if I died or not, but the moment I regained my consciousness, I was already standing on a field full of grass and surrounded by trees. "W-what is that...?" A screen was floating in front of me. 「 Welcome, new adventurer! 」 "Adventur...rer?" But..... I'm so small! My body is the size of a 9 year old kid! And I don't even know what the hell happened to me. After I read some information on the screen, I was amazed that the world I was in was like a VRMMORPG. Magic exists and so does the level. "Huh?" When I look at my status, I'm not neither a mage that cast magic nor a swordsman that wields a sword, instead.... I'm a puppeteer! Will I survive in this new world despite knowing that I don't have a place to stay or food to eat? Note: This is more likely in Fantasy. Magic goes bruh broom brr. Also, there is some terms in this stories that is hard to understand like skills, ultimate skill, so read the prologue for that one. This is a significantly altered version of H. P. Lovecraft's horror story "The Alchemist." The original was written in 1908, and so is, as of 2020, well within the public domain. The text was taken in 2020 from this URL: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Alchemist_(Lovecraft) and modified by Wil Wroge (another pseudonym of Thomas Iota) as a response to a writing challenge issued by claytemplemedia.com I always enjoyed "The Alchemist" but did not consider it critically until Clay Temple Media made it the focus of one of their episodes of The Elder Sign podcast. Among other valid criticisms, the hosts suggested that Antoine, the protagonist, lacked agency, the supporting character Pierre was unsympathetic and illogical, and the antagonist was too easily overcome. So, I accepted this as a writing challenge. I've replaced Pierre with Agace (whom I hope is more sympathetic), given Antoine a much broader character arc, and made the antagonist, setting, and overall tone noticeably darker. I kept as much of the original text as possible, but I altered many sequences and added content freely in hopes of expanding the original enough to give the characters more interaction. I did my best to mimic the density of Lovecraft's diction and style in plot and setting revelations, but attempted also to add some of my own action and suspense into the climax. A warning to parents: there is significantly more violence in this story than in Lovecraft's original. The cover is an image from the public domain, taken from the book "Old and New London" by Walter Thornbury published circa 1887.
