Because of Violet

Violet Summers - golden girl; teacher's pet;
She is the closest to PERFECTION at Kennedy Bale Highschool. She's got a future as bright as the sun and always has a wide smile on her face showcasing those pearly whites of hers. But, no one knows the pain behind that smile. People don't see that her future has already been chosen by her parents. She doesn't have control over her life. That drove her to repressed insanity.

On July 21, she commits suicide.

Devastation. That's one word to describe the feeling of those close and not close to her. Her best friend and boyfriend took it the worst. Not her parents. They didn't care. Michelle Perkins, Violet's best friend, suffocated herself in self hatred and depression. Mason Genson, Violet's boyfriend of 11 months, drowned himself in his thoughts.

Michelle and Mason are both thinking the same thing,
" What did I do wrong? Why was I not a good enough reason for her to live?"

Soon, they find refuge in each other's company. They are there through and through for each other. They are so busy grieving that they forget to live their lives. 4 months after Violet's death, Mason and Michelle are spending quite a lot of time with each other. Then, Michelle starts developing these weird feelings when she is around Mason. Could she LIKE Mason Genson? No, that's not fair. Not fair for Mason or Violet. But she can't help it. Her feelings for Mason grow. One night, something happens between the both of them that could make things VERY awkward. Follow Mason and Michelle through this emotional rollercoaster of depression and self doubt while they are still trying to figure out their feelings.
