Waking up in a strange room, Lily Chandler remembers her whole life except the day before. Collapsing with pain and waking up with a strange tattoo, she is told she will be attending a school for the magically gifted. Having nothing she wants more than to go home, she enlists the help of a few classmates. But after the time it takes them to plan her escape, she isn't quite so sure leaving is what she wants anymore.
