"I hate this," Tom says, letting out a breath. "I hate that we don't know how to act around each other anymore." He looks at me with furrowed brows. "I-I don't know what to say," I look at him. I sit on the bed and cross my arms, wincing when the pressure from my arm sends a jolt of pain through my injured hand. "Yes, you have been.
