My whole life is 'have to.' I have to work full-time to pay the bills and keep food on the table. I have to finish college for a chance at a better job, no matter how long it takes. I have to manage my mom's sobriety so I can keep her out of jail. I have to keep a smile on my face, so no one knows how hard it's been. Now, I have to ignore the curious feelings that flutter in my chest whenever my devastatingly handsome new English professor, Fitzwilliam Benedict, is nearby. Of course, that's kind of impossible because I have to face his storm-tossed eyes and broad shoulders in class every other evening if I want to graduate with my perfect grade-point intact. And it's getting harder to ignore the way his thoughtful gaze sees all the way down to the truth I don't want anyone to know. Our kismet connection is a major complication that could torpedo everything I've worked for...Or this could be the most valuable lesson, ever. 📚🎓 Just a heads up that this isn't fully edited (yet), so you may notice typos or spelling errors! The day I received the e mail from PBS I couldn't believe my good fortune. I had won a trip to the UK and a walk on part for the show Sherlock-BBC. So, a month later and I still can't believe I am on a plane to London. It's an amazing turn of events because well nothing ever happens to me. I could describe the hotel, the plane trip, blah,blah,blah, however I am pretty sure you want to know about the set. Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman,etc. Ok, so now how to describe myself. Well, I'm a nerd. I play violin, I'm a genius at math, and I have only been on one date. So, on the cab ride over to the set the reality kicks in that I am going to meet Benedict and Martin and well I am starting to get nervous.What if I totally blow it and I don't get to go on the set or worse yet what if I make a fool of myself in front of Benedict?

First year of college! Your major is undecided and you're mostly focusing on your core classes right now. Now this isn't going to be your classic "love at first sight" spiel. In fact it may just be the opposite. A/N: I'm excited to write this story! This is my first time writing fan fiction in three years so I hope I'm not too rusty. Please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments. I plan on making this a decently long story and I'll try to write as frequently as I can but I am busy a lot with school and working on finding a job. IMPORTANT NOTICE: There may be a few triggers and I will be sure to put them at the top of the chapter every time. Please do not ignore these. Please don't read the chapter anyways because you like the story. Your mental health is so much more important than some stupid xReader. Take care of yourself. I love all of you. 2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. That is where you can factor in people I suppose I should call 'fans', the fascination that comes in with cutlery, pots, pans and other formerly boring things. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents. Life might be moving on, but I still go to McDonald's late at night with my friends. Some things at least don't change. Sequel to: Falling Fast Complete
