AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Dennis Tyler is a bit of a loser. I just want a normal and fresh male protagonist. I was inspired by the '1994' fan fiction at Archive of Our Own. I found it really surprising that I got hooked at a High School AU so much. I really like how I can construct characters with a dynamic personality and complicated story. I want them to be somehow real as much as possible. I treat them all as my sons and daughters *sniff*
I wanted to make a novel that explores the social pyramid in high school, especially in the US. Oh my goodness, like the cheerleaders, jocks, nerds, losers, hipsters, geeks, and all other stereotypes. Some may find it boring that's why I thought of making a character, a character that goes against the flow of things! And boom, there's Dennis.
There will be parties, battles with one's self, bullying, cursing (in the future I think), frustrated flirting, following the latest trends, popularity awareness, a bored and lazy protagonist, full of angst and emotional teenagers, colorful hair colors, romance, and donuts, lots and lots of DONUTS. I sure hope things will go well with Dennis and Evelia! (Hang in there kid!!!)
As Dallas and Drayton navigate life in the spotlight, Spencer is navigating intense feelings for Nathan - her best friend's brother.
