As I’m walking, I hear the crunch of leaves under a heavy set of feet in the woods off to the left of the parking lot. I look but I don't see anything, so i keep walking. I hear it again; my heart starts to thump in my chest as I turn back around, and look again. I hear a noise again so I start to run and I look back once more, when I look back forward there is a man standing 10 feet in front of me. I dead stop no more than a foot in front of him.

The Summer I Felt Pretty.
Alex.. That's all I remembered that summer night 3 years ago.. It was my 19th birthday and I was celebrating at the beach house, like we always did. Together. This summer was different. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. I could see the fear in his eyes that I would, he knows if he gave me the chance... I wasn't ready for this, but I had to survive. No matter what.
