"Til Death do us part." Well I think either Death died or retired, because these things are far from dead or alive.
I believed the news people when they said the virus was under control. But then more and more people were dying. People who had trusted those reports. So I changed my trust to survival instincts and now here I am. In a camp.
Some cure to cancer this was.
Teaser: I thought the things just drop dead and come back up. All I knew was that their hearts stop beating and the virus corrupts their heart and some of the brain, taking control. Oh, but it's so much more painful.
First, the scab of my bite mark began to itch. I casually scratched it, but the sensation grew. I scratched and scratched, but the itchiness got worse and worse, then sensation almost unbearable. My nails had ripped out the scab and began taking skin back as well, blood oozing from the spot. Still, I scratched on.
The virus began battling my heart, and I felt the aching in my chest. I would have felt that pain, until the migraine hit. I clenched my head, my knees buckling to the ground. The pain made me want to bash my brains out to end the pain.
And then the virus won me over.

Season 4 of The Virus Within
Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again.
When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
