In case you didn't notice, Oakley is an introvert.
She doesn't talk to anyone and she doesn't need anyone. Some might call her emo, but it's for her own good. She stays as far away from human interaction as possible, not the easiest task. Especially in high school. Her days breeze by her and her monotonous lifestyle but she can't help it. She's an introvert. 

Speaking of which, in case you didn't notice, Westlynn is an extrovert.
She doesn't have any genuine friends but she chats with everyone and has an abundance of energy. She tries her hardest to look her best each and every morning. She walks to school while drawing in her small art book. She listens to indie music without earbuds and eats colorful food. She's the friend to all. She's an extrovert.

They collide and cannot separate. They share a powerful secret and they keep each other alive. They live their lives rushed in fear that any second could be the last. Westlynn is determined to bring out all the colors in Oakley before it's too late.
