Shade, Shades are an Obomanation in Alagaësia. As beings of pure evil they are known for the gutwrenching acts they comet, but this Shade. This one is different. For he is not possessed by abying of Alagaësia. No, he is possessed by the greatest dragon to have ever been seen on Middle Earth. Weap oh Alagaësia for Ancolagon is coming, and he will change the course of the history of this world. For good or for ill.

Addiane found her life to be comfortable enough. She may not have known her family, but she was fed and taken care of by those she lived with. Erys: An Eragon Fanfiction - (Under Editing)
In the time Eragon has been absent from Alagaësia, the riders have fallen to vices. Few have been able to raise to fulfill the roles the riders had originally been given, and a dark sect-reminiscent of the Foresworn-has risen to power. The cities and villages under their control live in fear, and those not already sworn to them are too weak to fight. Erys is a young girl living a simple village life. When men attack the village, her father disguises her as a young boy and makes her swear never to reveal her identity. When the marauders discover her, they take her and the other women and children hostage. Erys struggles to survive. Hiding her identity is almost impossible, and once they get her to the slave market, she would be trapped forever, and her true identity discovered. She plans her escape every night but has no idea where to go or who to trust. Her only sure plan of action is to free her mother, who has disappeared along with the other women captured the night of the attack. But first she has to escape her captors. The Shade: Shades of Change
The Shade are a collection of creatures that hide among our world. The Light Shade; the Fae, Vampyrs, Lycanthropes and Forest Elves, just to name a few. Then were are the Gray Shade; the Witches, Druids, Gypsy's and other human world magic users that keep the secret of the Shade from the humans. Then there are the Dark Shade; the Kobolds (Werereptiles), Lugats ("Evil" Vampyrs") and Cubi Race, just to name the big players. But this story is about the Dark Shade, or more specifically a Lugat named Vex. Vex is King of the Lugat's, a Dark Shade race of Bloodletters that are invisible to all but Dampirs, their mortal enemy. At least that's what they believe until a human girl named Bree sees Vex for what he is. Years later Vex kidnaps Bree taking her to his castle in Romania claiming she is merely a pet for his amusement.
