Six Years After (book 2)
(This is the sequel to my story, Six Years Too Long. You'll need to read that first to understand this one!) Six years after Minato Namikaze rose from the dead, Naruto's graduated the academy with a field of flowers in his mind and the best friends he could've ever asked for. Everything seems like it's going well... until it's not. Conspiracies within the village are keeping Minato on his toes, and Naruto's goal of world peace only seems to get further and further away from him as the Akatsuki stir and start to raise their heads. There are unknown enemies lurking around every corner, and it's up to Naruto and Kurama to stop them-- and who knows, maybe they'll have a little help when they do. (May have huge gaps between upload times but this story will be finished, that I can promise) Everyone thinks of Kai as a selfish person who puts himself before others and many other negative things. As Kai's time as a ninja, he always heard these comments and he couldn't do anything about it so he has to bottle his feelings whenever people say this. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Kai gets sick of how he is being treated and leaves to have a walk to take his mind off of things... but then he meets someone he didn't expect to meet... Non-canon ships are not implied but take it as you wish, just not greenflame because no. The Way Into Mist Village (NarutoxMHA)
What happens when you take 4 hero students, one ex-villain, two aliens, and over 15 ninjas, and throw them all together on a weeks long road trip through their enemies territory? *** The 4th Great Shinobi War has ended, and Gaara is starting to wonder how the nations will maintain their fragile peace without a common enemy. He's devised a plan to go on a diplomatic tour of the shinobi world, and try to establish strong bonds with each village, and Mist Village is his first stop. Joining Gaara and his two ever loyal siblings, Temari and Kankuro, will be the Leaf Shinobi, Naruto, Shikamaru, Ino, Tenten, Hinata, Neji, and surprisingly, Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke isn't really going for the mission though, he's been persuaded to join them by Gaara's new, out of this world teacher, Shine Likstar, and her partner Wally West, and their current hero trainees, Momo, Shoto, Dabi--and now joining them: Bakugo and Camie. They all don't start off on the best foot, and Gaara wonders how they'll make it to Mist without killing each other. Along the way the group runs into Sasuek's old Team Taka, and makes some detours into creepy lairs, all the while trying not to drive each other insane with their crazy hijinks and culture clashes. Not to mention past trauma. But things may heat up when they actually reach Mist Village and find more than they bargained for. [This story is a sort of spin off of the canon story line, and picks up where my shorter retelling of the first show in "New Way of Ninja" leaves off. Read that book first if you want to know how these characters know each other. Otherwise if you just want to jump right in and figure it out, I respect that approach too. This should be a lot of fun. The story is styled to be more Slice of Life/Action, but they'll be ships, funny situations, and angst and drama in plenty for all of you who like a little spiciness with your friendship stories.
