Nadiah was taught many times that love was for the weak, it'll distract you from your duties. Once the ship from the sky fell onto her people's land, her morality changed later once she grew close to the black-haired leader.
Torment and death seems to be the only things that the Grounders know, says the Sky People. That they show no mercy and always wanting to kill. Ignorance, and invading land that is not theirs. Starting wars that they cannot finish makes them weak, says the Grounder about the Sky People.
To live in harmony with each other seems too much to ask for, even for one grounder.
