A local bad boy gets in trouble with the law, and ends up having to do community service. Mowing lawns. Nobody's lawn needs mowing though, well no one except the creepy Grave family that lives up on Creek hill. So he's assigned to mow their lawn everyday. What he doesn't expect is to find a young girl. About his age, hiding in a tree. She has silk like brown hair and big green eyes. 

Lilith Grave is a seventeen year old girl, whose haunted by her past. Images of her parents deaths haunt her everyday. Like a sickness that never gets healthy. She dreams about the screams and the killers face. She dreams about murder and death. Secrets and lies. Lilith even dreams about blood. She lives with her Uncle Victor in a house a top a hill. In a small town, where everybody knows everyone. No one in that town ever goes near the Grave household, afraid to be cursed. They think the whole family is crazy and they don't want anything to do with the Graves. Until one fateful day when ordinary crosses with the tainted. And the little town of Newton, will forever be changed.

The man who hides; one night reveals himself and for some reason, she doesn't scream, doesn't attack him or try to run away. She just sits in bed in fear of who he is, and what he is. She finds out that he's from a race of Chaos made by the Angel Raziel, and that she is also one with two different powers but Chaos are only born with one, everyone thinks she's the new generation on Chaos. But when the enemy, the Foreshadowed somehow get their hands on her, her family secrets crawl out and reveal a power she has no idea existed. The man tells her his name finally but he also reveals a dark horrible secret from his past which traumatized him for years, then she feels like she's actually falling in love with him. He knows everything about her, the reason she became human, the two powers she could have, the truth of how her father died. He begins to protect her life with his own.
