Welcome to "Tales of the Unknown," a collection of horror short stories that comes from my dreams, imagination and even real life rumors and stories. The abyss beyond
blends high-stakes conflict, deep worldbuilding, and a mix of magic, science, and strategy. The story revolves around Kai, a central figure who initially refuses an enigmatic offer, setting off a chain of events that intertwine his fate with the Ether Grid, ancient runes, and a cosmic child born from his essence. The world is rich with diverse characters-humans, aliens, and non-human beings-each with their own agendas, cultures, and fighting styles that shape the world's power dynamics. At the heart of the narrative lies a struggle between forces seeking to control the runes and the Ether, entities whose origins remain shrouded in mystery. A king or ruler, whose past and motivations are intentionally ambiguous, has been advancing the fusion of magic and scientific research, reshaping the continent's destiny. Meanwhile, every character introduced has something to lose, ensuring each battle is more than just a spectacle-it's a matter of survival, legacy, or vengeance. And political power and power struggle The story unfolds with gradual revelations, introducing Althea and a host of other key players, including underworld figures, thugs (introduced in Chapter Two), and a mysterious new character (arriving in Chapter Four). As the plot progresses, the presence of law enforcement, federal agents, and covert organizations suggests a deeper connection between politics, crime, and the supernatural. narrative weaves together themes of betrayal, power, sacrifice, and the cost of mastery. The fight for dominance over the runes and the Ether is more than just a battle-it's a conflict that will determine the fate of existence itself.

The Fighters
I entered this short story into a contest, and sadly I lost, so I decided to do something with it. This story has to do with, not a zombie apocalypse, but an alien apocalypse. It is centered around a young girl searching for her partner as she is enetered herself in a training facility that teaches men and women to fight against the aliens who have taken over.Terminé

The Wolf's Prey
[completed!] Under editing! Man kind, invincible and scared of nothing. We were the superior race, and we revelled in it. We all thought we were the ones at the top of the food chain, completely untouchable. However it was like I said, we 'thought' we were. In the darkness lurks a creature like no other, that prays upon us. Hunting us! Waiting for just the right moment to strike, to knock us off of our high pedestal and back onto the ground. I know this because I have seen this beast. Been face to face with it, battled toe to toe with this creature, fighting for what was left of my life, and I was losing! - - - - - - - - "Watch out!" I scream in alert, as a hard thudding sound pierced our ears as something slammed into our side of the car, sending a sensation of dizziness as the car spun of of control. The screeching tires dragged along the floor, with the faint stench of the irony liquid dripping from my head as it all grew still...Terminé

Earth has been transformed into an unpredictable nightmare by an alien force, its landscapes constantly shifting in time. Forests become oceans, mountains dissolve into endless plains, and creatures born of chaos emerge in every corner of this broken world. But the greatest threat comes at night. Shadowy predators that hunt in the darkness, vanishing only when struck by light. In the midst of this chaos, a 20 year old woman struggles to protect the only family she has left: her 10 year old brother. Together, they navigate a world that reshapes itself without warning, battling both the horrors around them and the haunting question of what caused this catastrophe. Driven by love and relentless determination, she fights to keep him safe. Even as the darkness closes in. Elyra "This world tears everything apart. The skies, the earth, the things we love, everything is devoured by this merciless transformation. Forests turn into oceans, deserts into dense jungles, and what was once home yesterday is nothing but a shadow today. In this world, constantly dragging us into the abyss, I have only one purpose: to protect my little brother. He can't see how often I cry at night, how often the fear eats away at me. The shadows are the worst. They come from the darkness, they hunt, they consume. I've seen things I'll never be able to forget. But as long as I'm breathing, I'll keep fighting. For him. For us. This world wants to tear us apart, but it will never succeed. Not as long as I'm here."Terminé
