Emerald & Big Guy

Emerald is a 21 year old who is mature and intelligent beyond her years. She's had a hard life, yet manages to always be positive and see the bright side.

Xavier is a 29 year old ex military man with ptsd. He struggles during the day with complications from his last mission, nights with nightmares, and everything in between with a family that just wants to help.

I wake up hearing things being thrown around and yelling. I put on my robe and go downstairs to see what's going on and in the blink of an eye find myself pushed up against the wall, with an angry looking Xavier.

"X don't!" says Titan

I put one hand up to stop everyone from saying anything. He freezes. I can see that he isn't fully there. He's panting and trying to focus.

"Look at me." He doesn't respond. I get one arm up to touch his face, he jumps and immediately looks me in the eye. He puts me back on the floor and backs up. I can see every emotion play across his face, surprise, confusion, embarrassment, but mostly guilt.

"It's alright big guy. Now would you like some tea or coffee?" I ask assuming he's going to stay up. I see the look of surprise on his and his family's face.
