It was nearly midnight, a girl walked down the edge of the abandoned highway. She wore all black, T-shirt, cargo pants, combat boots, leather jacket, and backpack slung over her shoulder. Hands and knees scraped, clothes soiled and torn. Smudges of grease and dirt covered her face and arms. Her dark hair was pulled back in a pony-tail, dark hazel eyes danced with mischief and a half smile tugged at her lips. For Zinkīl Burr, this had been a very good day. Her face went dark as she looked back to see police lights flashing in the distance. That is until now...
