Emblem takes place in an alternate universe where humanity receives powers tied to their core personalities, and where people are allocated to a particular occupation based on the powers they possess. It is a coming-of-age story that chronicles the events of the protagonist Rafniez in her new life as a law enforcer as she faces a society that is freshly wrought with chaos and instability after a nation-wide destabilizing event. This story is intended to be experimental as I find my place as a writer and attempt to use my characters and setting to deliver a story that will hopefully resonate with the readers.
