He has this overwhelming feeling to protect her even from Isolde. But that is just not right because Isolde is the one he should be protecting right? Not this woman who he knows nothing about.
During the search for her mother, Celeste encounters a witch who kidnaps her and keeps her hostage for months. She can overpower the awful witch but her mother told her not to use her powers on anyone or else people will find out what she is and kill her. So she stays put until a man saves her and sends her to The Prime Howlers where she meets Caspian and Isolde.
They are the kindest people she's ever met. At least that's what she thinks. With time, Celeste realizes things aren't as perfect as they seem. Or maybe it's the feelings she's developing for Caspian that has her looking for any excuses to take him away from his mate. Whatever the reason, she's determined to get to the bottom of it.
